This conference is organized in the framework of a special issue in International Economics dedicated to the theme “Financing for Development”.

Introductory Remarks to the conference will be given by Meryame Kitir, Minister of Development Cooperation and of Major Cities in Belgium (TBC)

The conference will also welcome two keynotes:

Prof.  Njuguna Ndung’u - Executive Director of the African Economic Research Consortium and the immediate Kenya’s Central Bank Governor (2007-2015)

Ugo Panizza, Professor, International Economics Pictet Chair in Finance and Development, Director, International Centre for Monetary and Banking Studies, Graduate Institute Geneva
