Towards effective intervention models for supporting local taxation
The research proposed under this work package seeks to review the current available evidence on ‘what works’ in relation to donor funded support programs for local taxation programs in weak institutional contexts, and provide a support facility through country-based research & technical back-stopping. A particular focus will go towards potential mechanisms that can support and expand adequate domestic resource mobilization in support of decentralization and local development initiatives.
