Redistributive Social Protection, mapping study
After having been relatively absent from national and international development agenda’s, social protection has recently become one of the key policy priorities of many low- and middle income countries. Donors and International organisations are playing a major role herein, shaping the debate and implementing programmes in this area. The challenges that are being responded to also remain huge. The 2014 ILO Report on World Social Protection notes that only 27% of the global population enjoys a comprehensive social protection cover. (download) |
